Workshop Philosophy Introduction There are many people who speak English well, and who have good knowledge of Islam, yet they are unable to communicate effectively in English on Islamic subjects primarily because they lack the proper terminology to do so. Therefore we designed this workshop to help you start walking on the Daw’ah Road. Aims & Objectives This workshop is designed to help and motivate Muslims who speak English fluently to invite non-Muslims to Islam & spread the message of Islam to the entire world. The objectives of the workshop are such that on completion, participants should have: ü A reasonable knowledge of Islamic terminology ü The ability to discuss Islamic concepts in English ü The ability to give short presentations on Islamic topics of their choice. ü A reasonable knowledge of necessary terminologies of other religions as needed to present Islam. Training Methodology The workshop will be conducted with formal lectures, delivering mini-talks, observing mini-presentations (delivered by participants), having encounters with non Muslims, delivering Why Convert Stories in front of the audience, responding to misconceptions about Islam, attending some real discussions between participants and target audience, and finally delivering real presentations. The workshop was developed in such a way that 70% of the load will be upon the participants and 30% upon the facilitators. So, participants are expected to do show some efforts and comply with all the workshop’s requirements. Having achieving that, the participants will be considered a graduate from this workshop. Personal Impact · You will be able to further your Daw’ah skills. · You will be able to grasp more Daw’ah opportunities and hence better Daw’ah motivations. · You will be able to recognize and use Islamic and other Religions’ terminologies. · You will be able to enhance your communication skills with non-Muslims. · You will be able to contact some key personnel who are experienced in this field. Who Should Attend The main requirement is the participant’s willingness and commitment to present Islam in its true light. Nevertheless, prospective participants must possess a acceptable level of fluency in English and should be able to take part in a conversation on general topics. The workshop is conducted using English language only.
Duration The course consists of a total of 32 hours –16 hours in class and 16 hours working on projects outside the class. Rules and Regulations: 1- The course consists of eight lectures/workshop, plus some homework assignments.
